Internship-Crown Point Printing Studio - gallery intern

Gallery Intern

Established in 1962, Crown Point Press is a publisher of limited edition fine art etchings and woodcuts by internationally recognized artists. The etching studio and gallery are in a historic landmark building located in the South of Market neighborhood within two blocks of the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art and the Yerba Buena Center for the Arts.

This is a part-time position for an individual seeking to gain entry level experience in the workings of a contemporary art gallery. The position is designed for a college student with some work experience who is extremely detail oriented and self-motivated.


Requirements and skills:

Gallery Intern duties revolve around providing administrative support to the gallery and will learn many different aspects of gallery operations. An ideal candidate should be self-motivated, and enthusiastic with strong organizational skills, attention to detail and a professional demeanor.

Gallery responsibilities include answering phone, greeting visitors to the gallery, photocopying articles, updating and organizing artist files, email correspondence, some internet research, and other administrative tasks.

This is an internship for college credit with a commitment of 1-2 days a week. Wednesdays and Saturdays are preferred, but we can be flexible with school schedule.   If interested please reply by email only to gallery@crownpoint.com. internship- fall 2012 - Panetta Congressional Internship

Greetings,
The Institute for Civic & Community Engagement (ICCE) is happy to announce that it will be accepting applications for the 2012 Panetta Congressional Internship Applications are due February 20th, 2012.
As you may recall from years past, this prestigious internship is open to all students who will be either Juniors or Seniors in the Fall of 2012 and includes an expenses paid two week training retreat at the Panetta Institute at CSU Monterey in August, and then an 11 week internship in a Washington D.C. office of a California member of the US House of Representatives during the Fall 2012 semester.  Travel to and from Washington, along with housing expenses and a stipend will be covered by the program.

All faculty members are strongly urged to recommend qualified students for this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.

internship with The Living Library

"Students are needed now to help us with the Living Library Nature Walk in conjunction with Life Frames, Inc & A Living Library and the Recreation and Park Department.  We are working in the Islais Creek Watershed with many interrelated opportunities.

We are working with several parks, schools, housing developments leading to the Islais Creek at the south end of St. Mary's Park.  Students will work with trees, understory and other Park activities and Watershed opportunities.  

Do you have students at this time who may be interested in participating in the upcoming semester ? 

If interested, students could also help out at other Branch Living Library school sites in the Excelsior, Bernal Heights, and Chinatown.
